Sales Platform Expanded
PICC Becomes Part of K+S North America

Starting on 1 January 2008, the K+S Group, Europe’s second largest fertilizer producer, will have an expanded sales platform in the United States, K+S North America with its registered office in New York. Part of the platform will comprise the activities conducted by Potash Import & Chemical Corporation (PICC) until now. With the tailor-made products and services of K+S KALI GmbH and fertiva, K+S North America will offer agriculture and industry an assortment that meets needs.
As the general manager of K+S North America, Mark Roberts will also be responsible for running the future K+S KALI Division. Matthias Schwind will head the fertiva Division.

K+S KALI GmbH is proud that over the past 50 years it has supplied the US, Central American and Caribbean markets with high-purity potassium and magnesium products for agriculture, industry and the health care/food sectors. fertiva Division

fertiva is one of Western Europe’s major suppliers of nitrogenous fertilizers. The fertiva Division has been active in the United States since May 2007 and has sold initial quantities of the straight nitrogen fertilizer calcium ammonium nitrate (CAN) in Florida and Georgia. The aim of the fertiva Division is to intensify customer contacts in 2008 so as to strengthen its foothold in the American market. For fertiva, the US market is a very interesting market which holds out promise for the future and should be penetrated very vigorously.
